During the festival, workshops and creative ateliers will be organized to present / demonstrate local traditions, customs, art, crafts.
The activity includes conducting a market
research for the development of a concept for creative tourism on the territory
of LAG - Gotse Delchev - Garmen – Hadzhidimovo and aims to analyse the needs
and identify opportunities for creative tourism, as well as the specific
elements of Balkan culture available on the territory of the LAG.
The study is necessary to give a
"snapshot" of the prerequisites for the development of creative
tourism on the territory, as well as to conduct a SWOT analysis to show the
strengths and weaknesses, opportunities and threats to the development of this
type of tourism.
The territory of the LAG - Gotse Delchev -
Garmen - Hadzhidimovo is rich in many and different in nature specifics that
reflect the local culture, way of life and history, in terms of variations of
dances, songs and melodies, local traditions, customs, art (paintings,
ceramics, etc.), crafts, incl. demonstrations, gastronomy - unique culinary specialties,
tourist cultural - historical routes, historical artefacts and discoveries,
etc. Many of them, however, are known only to specialists in the field and to
locals with long-standing "roots" in the territory, but not to
tourists and visitors outside the territorial scope of the LAG - Gotse Delchev
- Garmen - Hadzhidimovo. For this reason it is necessary to carry out a study
of the specifics of the local territory and the needs for development, as well
as the ways in which these needs can be met and the advantages capitalized in
order to develop creative tourism that attracts tourists, guests and visitors
to the territory.
Based on the study, ideas for the development of
creative tourism in the region will be generated, which will be used and
applied by the LAG in the future to promote the territory and attract tourists.
Depending on the needs of the territory identified during the study, the format
of the joint event for creative tourism within activity 4 of the project will
be determined - traditional festival / open workshops / tastings or others. The
market research is directly related to the joint products that will be
developed within activity 1 of the project. The results of the study will be
used to create the joint album and the joint application / software within
activity 1. The results of the study will also be applied in the organization
of joint events under the project.
