Representatives of the team of the Local Action Group - Gotse Delchev - Garmen - Hadzhidimovo took part in photography workshops and exhibition “RURAL SECRETS/
The Unseen Side of Tradition”, organized by LAG Kavala Development S.A, Greece, from October 20 to 22, 2022.
The activities are carried out under the project “Culture and Origins through Mutual Events in South Eastern Europe” (COME AND SEE), financed under sub-measure 19.3 “Preparation and implementation of cooperation activities of local initiative groups”, measure 19 “Community-led local development”, financed by the European Union through the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development. The project is for transnational cooperation and is implemented by Local Action Group Gotse Delchev - Garmen - Hadzhidimovo from Bulgaria, LAG Lunca Joasă a Siretului from Romania, LAG Lider Bistrița Năsăud from Romania, LAG Kavala Development Agency SA from Greece and LAG Çameli from Turkey.
Seventeen photographers from the partner territories took part in the exhibition: David Bodescu (Romania), Michael Kouragios (Greece), Vassilios Gianousis (Greece), Stratos Agiani (Greece), Roberto Usurulu (Romania), Ilias Koumoulidis (Greece), Nikos Thomaidis (Greece), Ioannis Magdalasidis (Greece), Alexandros Katsamakis (Greece), Maria Karofilidou (Greece), Makis Pavlidis (Greece), Stavros Stavrakis (Greece), Velitin Kalinkaya (Turkey), Sunay Kalinkara (Turkey), Tarik Urgan (Turkey), Sezgin Yozdemir (Turkey), Krastyu Shilev (Bulgaria), Dimitar Serafimov (Bulgaria), each with their own style, presented their point of view.
The exhibition included forty photographs that told their stories and became part of a larger narrative that inspired visitors and presented the deep connection between the cultures and peoples of the partner territories.
Visitors to the exhibition had the opportunity to participate in a photography workshop “Cellphone photography” by Roberto Usurelu from Romania and a workshop presented by Stratos Agiani from Greece on “Action, snapshot and documentary photography/Settings and composition techniques for epic photography”
